Eus (1959) is een enthousiast en gepassioneerd fotograaf. Vanaf het moment dat hij vanaf zijn 12e jaar zijn eerste camera in handen kreeg, is de interesse voor het fotograferen nooit meer weggegaan. Die camera was een oerdegelijke en eenvoudige Praktica. Deze volledige mechanische en handbediende camera, zorgde er voor dat hij de technieken van fotograferen al jong eigen maakte. Een breed scala aan onderwerpen worden door hem met de camera geschoten. Maar zijn voorkeur en specialisatie ligt op de natuur- en landschapsfotografie.
In de omgeving van Nijmegen, waar Eus woont, is er een ruime mate van variatie in landschappen en onderwerpen. Denk daarbij aan de Hatertse- en Overasseltse vennen, de heuvels en stuwwallen in het Rijk van Nijmegen, de Ooijpolder en de rivierlandschappen langs de Waal. Hoewel zijn omgeving voldoende fotografische uitdagingen biedt, reist hij ook graag naar andere landen waarbij zijn fotoapparatuur een belangrijk onderdeel is van de reisbagage. De indrukwekkende landschappen van bijvoorbeeld Schotland en Scandinavië behoren tot zijn favorieten. Kenmerkend voor zijn foto's is de rust in zijn composities.

That camera was a rock solid and simple Praktica. This fully mechanical and manually operated camera ensured that he mastered the techniques of photography at an early age. He shoots a wide range of subjects with the camera. But his preference and specialization is on nature and landscape photography.
In the area around Nijmegen, where Eus lives, there is a wide variety of landscapes and subjects. Think of the Hatertse and Overasselt fens, the hills and moraines in the Nijmegen region, the Ooijpolder and the river landscapes along the Waal. Although his environment offers sufficient photographic challenges, he also likes to travel to other countries where his photographic equipment is an important part of his travel luggage. The impressive landscapes of Scotland and Scandinavia, for example, are among his favorites. Characteristic of his photos is the tranquility in his compositions.
